McGregor, TX — September 15, 2026 — Stator Integration Labs, a defense R&D lab and systems integration company, today announced its selection to support the Defense Innovation Unit's Open Mission Engine (OMEN) project for Air Mobility Command (AMC). The effort is resourced by the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment's Operational Energy Prototyping Fund and is designed to turn near-real-time fuel and mobility data into actionable information for commanders, accelerating the transition from prototype to enduring fielded capability across contested, disconnected, and operationally constrained environments.

Under the OMEN effort, the three companies bring complementary capabilities. Stator Integration Labs will deliver advanced track fusion and spatial-temporal reasoning capabilities that help OMEN turn mission data into operational insight, grounded in AMS GRA conformant services and subject-matter-expert (SME) support that ensures mission systems align with the Air Force's open reference architecture. Defense Unicorns will deliver UDS Fleet, a DDIL-resilient system administration, orchestration, and software-distribution platform that extends OMEN's deployment, interoperability, and sustainment across the AMC fleet. Air Space Intelligence (ASI) will provide a Common Operating Picture to support planning, situational awareness, and decision-making in contested environments. The partnership reflects the broader OMEN goal: moving continuous, open-architecture mission software from concept into fielded capability that supports aircrew decision-making in flight.
